Using Adobe Photoshop, we create compelling artifact plates and enhance photos for your reports.
Compiling individual artifact photos into a single, high-resolution plate for your report not only adds to the professional look of your product, but conveys meaningful information unavailable from the individual photos themselves. Giving your reader the ability to visually scan appropriately scaled artifacts of similar type, allows artifacts to be easily compared, and provides clear support for your artifact classifications. |

Artifact photos can also be manipulated (with proper disclosures) to highlight particular attributes discussed in your text. For example, the photos on the left have been enhanced to highlight the presence of asphaltum (used here in hafting the projectile points). |
We also have the experience to quickly clean up old historic and/or field photographs. The example on the right shows how slight adjustments to an old ethnographic photo not only enhances detail, but makes the photo more visually appealing. |

In limited cases, we can photograph your artifacts for you, and will visit your location to do so. Contact us to see if this would work for you.
